Dumfries Store & Breeding Cattle Sale Report

C&D Auctions held their fortnightly sale of store cattle in Dumfries with 430 forward on Monday 28th April 2025.

No signs of a backward step in the cattle trade with all classes keenly sought from the buyers present. R&M Hyslop, Netherfield topped at £2900 for a Charolais cross bullock with Hereford bullocks reaching 517.6p/kg from J&J Edgar, Ballinne. Heifers from TI Bell, Cormaddie topped at £2600 for Angus and Charolais cross heifers from D&G McClanachan attained 504.2p/kg. Bulls from Herries Farms, Lantonside sold to £2150 and 494p/kg. A feature of the sale was a pen of 17 Aberdeen Angus Bullocks from R Ritchie, Fardingjames which sold at £2480.
