Longtown Cheviot Mules Tues 25 Aug 2026
ANNUAL SHOW & SALE OF CHEVIOT MULES
Longtown Auction Mart held their annual sale of 10,518 Cheviot Mule and Cheviot Mule bred offspring on Tuesday 25th August 2026.
The sale was kindly sponsored by Tarff Agricultural Merchants.
First of all, the directors, auctioneers and all the staff at C&D Marts thank both purchasers and vendors alike for their continued support. Your presence, time and custom are most definitely appreciated.
The pre-sale show judging was in the capable hands of renowned flock master Mr David Neill, Thornington, Mindrum. David set about the unenviable task with professionalism as he waded through the shearling class finding his first prize shearlings in annual consigners Robert and Hazel McNee, Over Finlarg, Dundee which went onto realise £370.
David then turned to the ewe lamb class and was blown away with the quality put in front of him. After much deliberation he found his first prize lambs in the strongest lambs on he day consigned by another regular consigner Firm of Nesbit Mill, Jedburgh.
