Longtown Mart Store & Breeding Sheep Report – 17 February 2026

C & D Auction Marts held their weekly sale of 3,347 Store Hoggs and Breeding Sheep at Longtown on Tuesday 17th February 2026.

The Stock Dispersal from S &  SL Phillips, Netherhill topped at £320 for a pen of Texel ewes closely followed by pen of Texel ewes realising £310. A massive credit must go to the Phillips Family for producing such a tremendous run of home bred Texel cross  ewes.

2,959 store hoggs were on offer with a lot of vendors cleaning up the tail ends before lambing. All classes holding up last weeks high rates of return. Plenty of purchasers still on the look for numbers of store hoggs travelling from up and down the country.
