Longtown Primestock Sale Report

C&D Auction Marts had forward an entry of 10,080 sheep
comprising of 4,649 lambs and  5,429 cast ewes & rams at their weekly sale
at Longtown Mart on Thursday 16th  October 2025.

PRIME LAMBS

A
very mixed show of 4,649 prime lambs sold to recent rates of return with hard
fed lambs in big demand and receiving a premium whilst grass fed lambs proved
harder to place. Any lambs that are under finished are far better sold in the
very buoyant and competitive store market held here at Longtown on a Tuesday.
For all enquiries and advise on how best to market your stock, please do not
hesitate to contact our auctioneers and fields personnel who will be pleased to
