Longtown Store & Breeding Sheep Sale Report
C & D Auction Marts held their weekly sale of 4,665 Store Hoggs at Longtown on Tuesday 13th January 2026.
Store hoggs dearer again on the week. A ringside full of confidence as buyers travel from up and down the country on the hunt for numbers. All classes of store hoggs in big demand, numbers needed each week to try and fulfil purchaser’s demand.
Topping the day was a tremendous pen of Beltex hoggs realising £170 from TJ Hall & Son, Horsley Hill. Chasing not far behind at £166 was another fantastic pen of Texel x hoggs from WN Douglas, Catslackburn.
