Longtown Store & Breeding Sheep Sale Report

C & D Auction Marts held their weekly sale of 4,310 Store Hoggs at Longtown on Tuesday 14th January 2025.

A larger show of store sheep forward as fresh faces appear to the ringside eager to purchase the numbers of sheep placed in front of them.  A great show of longer keep hoggs were on offer with vendors starting to tidy up the tail-enders, however short keep hoggs just keep on giving.  Topping the sale was a pen of 12 Texel cross tup hoggs realising £176 from C & I Angus, Oldfield Farm.
Feeding ewes and cast rams were in very high demand as numbers tighten on the week.
