Longtown Store & Breeding Sheep Sale Report

C & D Auction Marts held their weekly sale of Breeding sheep, Store hoggs and Feeding sheep at Longtown on Tuesday 20th May 2025.

Hoggs and lambs (348) a tremendous show of hoggs and lambs forward met a slight resistance due to the dry weather. Topping the sale was the first price pen of 10 Mule hoggs with Suffolk lambs at foot realising £200 per life from Winter Bros, Clickham Farm.  

Ewe and lambs (352) a smaller show of ewes and lambs forward met a dearer trade on the week with fresh faces appearing ring side on the look for outfits. Top price was a fantastic 3 shear Dutch Spotted Ewe with a tup lamb at foot realising £190 per life from James McKenzie, Braecroft.
