Longtown Store Cattle Sale Report

C&D Auction Marts Limited held their Annual Christmas prize show and sale of store cattle on Saturday 29th November 2025.

A select show of store cattle sold to a full ringside of purchasers ensuring all classes sold to a fast trade. The judging was kindly carried out by renowned cattle finisher Mr James Crichton, Loughrigg, Egremont who duly found his overall champion in a stylish Limousin heifer consigned by M/s Cowan, The Ash, Roadhead which later went under the hammer to top the sale at £2,220 and selling to the judge. Topping the male section of the store cattle sale was the first prize Galloway steer consigned by DH Woodhouse, Gibstown, which went onto realise £2,200.
