Longtown Store & Feeding Sheep Sale Report

C&D Auction Marts had forward 5,692 store lambs, feeding ewes and cast rams at their weekly sale at Longtown on Tuesday 9th December 2025.

A larger show of store lambs forward with a great demand for all classes, selling with ease to a ringside of buyers from up and down the country. More numbers needed weekly to fulfil buyers demands.

Top price of the day was £168 for Beltex lambs from Newton of Fotheringham.

A much larger show of feeding sheep on offer, all classes dearer on the week with much larger quantities needed each week to fulfil the ever-growing demand. Top price was a pen of Mule ewes realising £152 from Kerr, Keppoch. Blackface ewes top at £126 from D Gillies, Killipol Farm.
