Longtown Store Sheep Tues 01 Sept
C & D Auction Marts held their weekly sale of 4,018 store lambs at Longtown on Tuesday 1st September 2026.
A larger show of stores forward met by a ring side full of buyers, lambs will be up £4 on the week with majority being smaller long-term projects. More purchasers travel to Longtown on the look for numbers, many more needed each week. Topping the sale was a pen of Texel lambs from Brian Miller, Needless Hall realising £170.

A large show of feeding ewes forward met by another strong trade for all classes. Topping the sale was a Texel x ewe from S W Brough, Cheery tree Farm, realising £165. Many more feeding sheep needed every week to fulfil buyer’s demand.
