Cumberland & Dumfriesshire Farmers Mart held their weekly Primestock Sale in Dumfries on Monday 29th December 2014.
A larger show of 671 Prime Lambs saw a shortage of handyweights which sold well but there was a big entry of 50Kg+ lambs which pulled the average down slightly. Sale average 184.6p
Top Price per head to £87.50 for Texel's shown by Barrsyard Farm. Suffolks sold to £85.50 from JB Paterson & Co, Hartbush. Top Pence per kilo for Texels 203p from A Hoggan, Maryholm and 201p from J & M Sloan, Upper Longbank.
