Dumfries OTM and Prime Cattle Report
C&D Auctions Ltd held their fortnightly sale of OTM and Prime Cattle in Dumfries on Monday 28th April 2025.
No let up in the cow trade with buyers actively seeking cattle. Beef cows averaged 309.9p/kg to 435p/kg. Topping the beef cow trade was TW Dunlop, No2 Tregallon at £2526.50. Dairy cows averaged 261.2p/kg to 350p/kg. Dairy cows were topped at £2562.80 from AW Currie, Barndennoch. Prime cattle met a competitive trade, selling to 440p/kg for Limousin cross heifers from J Jardine, Yett to R Johnstone & Sons Butchers, Annan. Aberdeen Angus bullocks to £3042 and Limousin bullocks to £3017.80 from Conheath. Aberdeen Angus heifers to £2926 from Conheath.
