Dumfries OTM and Prime Cattle Report
C&D Auctions Ltd held their fortnightly sale of OTMs in Dumfries on Monday 4th August 2025.
More new faces ringside with trade easily upholding recent high rates with all classes sought after. Dairy cows averaged 238.46p/kg topped at 302p/kg and £2964 from Currie, Barndennoch. Beef cows averaged 285.39p/kg topped at 355p/kg from Young, High Townhead and to £2873 from Ewart, Belridding. Bulls averaged 214.53p/kg topped at 270p/kg from Baile Curraich and to £2020 from Rennie, Tarbert.
Prime cattle met a firm demand selling to 435p/kg & £2510.90 from Jardine, Yett to R Johnstone & Sons Butchers, Annan. Prime Bulls to £2418 from Grierson, Shambellie Grange.
