C&D Auctions Ltd held their fortnightly sale of OTM & Prime Cattle in Dumfries on Monday 15th September 2025.
Trade looked sharper for a plainer show forward. Buyers continue to actively seek numbers of all classes. Beef cows to 338p/kg from Grove Farms, Meikle Barncleugh and to £2902.80 from Irving, 1 Mallyford Cottage to average 293.9p/kg. Dairy cows to 280p/kg and £2646 from Murray Conheath to average 224.9p/kg. Bulls to 270p/kg from Barr, Meikle Kirkland and to £2367.50 from Howatson, Heithat to average 246.4p/kg. Prime Cattle sold to 430p/kg from Jardine, Yett to R Johnstone & Sons Butchers, Annan.
