Longtown Store Cattle Sale Report

The Cumberland & Dumfriesshire Farmers Mart plc held their Fortnightly Sale of Store Cattle at Longtown on Tuesday 4th February 2014.

A mixed show of 104 store cattle saw plenty of buyers ensure trade maintained recent high rates.  Topping the sale at £1,115 (x3) and £1,100 (x3) were Limousin Bullocks shown by J.A. & D. Forster, Gillalees, Limousin Heifers sold to £1,100 also from Messrs Forster, Gillalees.  Many more cattle needed to satisfy growing demand.
