Longtown Store Cattle Sale Report

The Cumberland & Dumfriesshire Farmers Mart plc held their Special Sale of Store Cattle & Suckler Calves at Longtown on Tuesday 4th March 2014.

A catalogue entry of 572 head saw trade maintain late rates with the sale slightly up on the year.

Top price to £1,300 and £1,250 for Angus Bullocks shown by D. & Y. Wilson, Plumpe, British Blue Bullocks sold to £1,230 (x4) also from Messrs Wilson. Limousin Heifers sold to £1,280 again from Messrs Wilson, Plumpe.
