Longtown Store Cattle Sale Report

The Cumberland & Dumfriesshire Farmers Mart plc had forward a good entry of 122 store cattle and 45 breeding cattle at their fortnightly sale on Tuesday 27th May 2014.

Store cattle met another good demand with plenty of keen bidders going home empty handed and many more could have been sold.

Top price to £940 firstly for a Limousin bullock from Messrs J Robertson & Son, Becks Farm, the again for a pair of Limousin heifers shown by Messrs ML & LB Bell, Winterhope.
