Annual Kirkcambeck Sale of Store Cattle
The Cumberland & Dumfriesshire Farmers’ Mart plc held their Annual Spring Kirkcambeck sale of Native and Continental store cattle at Longtown on Tuesday 31st March 2015.
A marvellous show of 450 cattle was presented to a packed ringside of buyers, resulting in a fantastic trade for all classes of stock. The overall average of £786.64 was only £4.94 down on 2014 which was most acceptable when taking into consideration the finished cattle prices and the fact that the catalogue was made up of predominantly young cattle lacking the age and strength of last year.
