Annual Kirkcambeck Store Cattle Sale Report

C&D Auction Marts Limited had forward a catalogue entry of 903 head at their Annual Kirkcambeck Sale on Saturday 17th October 2015.

An excellent show forward to a full ringside of keen bidders, the sale started at a furores pace for the Blue Greys and Shorthorns and would be dearer on the year, then on to the Galloways which saw the best end very good to sell, following them were the Angus and Continentals which sold to a similar trade to previous weeks. The sale averages were similar on the year with vendors going home delighted with their returns.

The sale topped at £1,160 for a Limousin heifer sold be regular vendors Mrs C. Aitchison, 12 Kershopefoot, Newcastleton. Galloways toped at £1,080 for a pen of 10 from J. Robertson & Son, Becks. Shorthorn/Blue Greys peaked at £1,010 shown by A. & A. Hogg, Milnholm, Langholm.
