Longtown Store & Breeding Cattle Sale Report

C&D Auction Marts Limited held their fortnightly sale of 62 store cattle at Longtown on Tuesday 16th February 2016.

Store cattle met a big demand and surpassed previous weeks.  The sale was topped at just short of £1,100 for a Limousin bullock sold by W.S. Davies & Sons, Harwood on Teviot, with the next highest at £1,040 for an Angus bullock from the same home.  Charolais bullocks sold to £980 from J. Hepburn & Co., North House.  Heifers topped at £995 for an Angus from Harwood on Teviot and Limousin to £950 shown by T.L. Hogg & Son, Ryehills.
