Longtown Store & Breeding Cattle Sale Report

C&D Auction Marts Limited sold an excellent show of cattle at their Annual Special March Sale at Longtown on Tuesday 1st March 2016.

Buyers from all over attended and saw trade a good £50 - £60 dearer than January, more could have easily been sold. The sale was topped at £1,230 for a Limousin bullock shown by J. Robertson & Son, Becks Farm, Langholm. The next pen came at £1,200 also for Limousin bullocks from G.T. Beattie, Guardsmill. Heifers peaked at £1,180, twice, for Limousins firstly from A. & J.N. Story, Newbiggin, then again for a pen off W.H. & D.A. Gass, Nunscleugh.
