Longtown Store & Breeding Cattle Sale Report

C&D Auction Marts Limited had forward a good entry of 158 store cattle and suckler calves at their fortnightly sale on Tuesday 21st June 2016.

A packed ringside of bidders with a few fresh faces, ensuring trade remained very strong and more could have been easily sold. Next sale Tuesday 5th July, please advise entries to satisfy demand.

The sale was topped at £1140 for a Limousin heifer sold by J W Thomlinson & Son, Standingstone Rigg. Bullocks peaked at £1080 for British Blue from JA & D Forster, Gillalees. British Blue heifers sold to £1065 also from Messrs Forster.
