Longtown Store Cattle Sale Report

C&D Auction Marts Ltd held their catalogue sale of 402 store cattle on Tuesday 26th February 2019.

A wonderful show of cattle was presented to the largest ringside of buyers seen at Longtown for many years. A tremendous trade ensued and many more could have been sold to vendors advantage.

Sale topped at £1,440 and £1,410 for fantastic Limousin heifers shown by RE & KM Jackson, Lane End, Wigton with Limousin bullocks selling to £1,280 firstly for todays Champion from WH & DA Gass, Nunscleugh, Bewcastle and then for a pen of five bullocks from the same home.

Mr Walter Dandy, West Lothian judged the cattle and our appreciation is extended to him for making the journey to Longtown and he made the following awards:-
