Longtown Store Cattle Sale Report

C&D Auction Marts Limited held their Special August Sale of 254 store cattle on Tuesday 18th August 2020.

A fantastic show of store cattle; predominantly yearling sorts, were forward to a very competitive ring of potential purchasers from far and wide ensuring all classes sold to serious rates.

Topping the sale was a shapley British Blue lady scaling the heights at £1280 consigned by, Netherfauld Farms, Lockerbie being purchased by the Tindale team from Paradise Farm, County Durham going on for further breeding. Limousin bullocks selling to £1,265 from M/s S Phillips, Netherhill, Roadhead who’s run of 8 fantastically well bred cattle averaged a marvelous £1150.

Bulls sold to £1,095 consigned by M/s Reed & Hill, Lingey Field, Hexham with many more young bulls and all classes of cattle required on a fortnightly basis to satisfy customer damand.
