Longtown Store Cattle Sale Report

C&D Auction Marts Ltd held their fortnightly sale of store cattle, a small select show of yearling stores sold to recent high rates of return on Tuesday 12th April 2022.

Topping the sale was a well-bred black Limousin yearling heifer realising £1,270 consigned by M/s I R Armstrong, Shankfield head, Heathersgill who also topped the steer section with a shapely 12month old Limousin realising £1,200.

Beef Shorthorn - £1,150 Archbank

Charolais - £1,090 Shankfieldhead

Many more cattle could be sold on a fortnightly basis to vendor advantage, as an abundance of customers went home empty handed.

Next sale is to be held 26^th April 2022 and the Annual May term Show and Sale of 500 Store cattle and breeding cattle will be held on Tuesday 10th May 2022.
