Longtown Store Cattle Sale Report

C&D Auction Marts Limited had forward an entry of 830 store cattle at the Annual Kirkcambeck sale on Saturday 18th October 2025.

Native bred cattle were presented for sale in tremendous form to the biggest ring of potential purchasers seen for many a year, resulting in all classes seeing a rise of over £500. Many more could have been sold to vendor advantage at this venue.

Judging for the pre sale show was ably carried out by Mr Crew, The Gall, who found his best pen of heifers in the Longhorn’s consigned from Laverhay, later going onto realise £1650.

Topping the Steers was a hefty pen of Angus steers realising £2,400 and £2,300 consigned by M/s Boyle, Mallsgate for 3 sold.
