Longtown Store Cattle Sale Report

C & D Auction Marts held their fortnightly sale of store cattle at Longtown on Tuesday 16th December 2025.

The sale consisted mainly of hill bred suckler calves which saw plenty buyers eager to purchase.

Hereford bullocks from Solwaybank Farm, Canonbie topped the sale at £1,640.

Suckler calves peaked at £1,290 and £1,260 for Hereford bullocks shown by Tanlawhill Farming, Westerkirk and Charolais selling to £1,060 from J Thomson & Son, Howcleugh, Hawick.

The next sale of store cattle and suckler calves is Tuesday 13th January, which is a special catalogued sale.
