Longtown Store & Breeding Sheep Sale Report

C&D Auction Marts Ltd, Longtown held an exceptional sale of ewes and hoggs with lambs at foot on Tuesday 6th June 2017, where an excellent entry of 1,426 head was forward.

A packed ringside of buyers and an abundance of grass resulted in the dearest trade of the season. The sale topped at £100 per life for a Blue Texel hogg and tup lamb from Eastmains Farming Company, followed at £96 for Texel hoggs and lambs from Messrs Browell, Quarry House. Ewes topped at £81 for a pen of outstanding Texel 3-4 crop ewes with twin Texel lambs again from Quarry House.
