Longtown Store & Breeding Sheep Sale Report
C&D Auction Marts Ltd had forward a larger show of 1,000 lives at Longtown on Tuesday 30th April 2019.
A great show of quality outfits were forward to an ever increasing ring of buyers. With stronger outfits meeting the dearest trade of the season, being £5 up on the week. The sale topped at £145 a life for 2 pure Texel ewes with tup lambs at foot from W.J. & J.G. Bell, Kinninghall, who sold others at £140, Billy sold his consignment of 27 ewes and 42 lambs to average £89.77.

A smaller end of season show of store hoggs & feeding ewes sold very well, surpassing all expectations for all classes to a top of £92 for a Charollais ewe from Monk Farm. Texel store hoggs sold to £86 from Stanley Road.
