Longtown Store & Breeding Sheep Sale Report

C&D Auction Marts Ltd held their weekly sale of 4,638 store lambs at Longtown on Tuesday 20th August 2019.

Incorporated into the weekly sale was the annual prize show and sale for Mule lambs. A great show of top-quality lambs were on offer, which is a testament to each vendor who turned out lambs to show. The show was very ably judged by Jimmy Ions, Hexham, whose awards were as follows;

2nd - TJ Hall & Son, Horsley Hill £60.50

Scotch Mules

The Ian Rutter Memorial Trophy for the champion pen of Alston Moor Mule lambs was awarded to GW & C Athey & Son, High Lovelady Shield.
