Longtown Store & Breeding Sheep Sale Report

C&D Auction Marts Ltd had forward another large 8,284 store lambs and feeding ewes at Longtown on Tuesday 20th October 2020.

Another mixed show of lambs attracted a good company of local and distant buyers. Trade was buoyant all day with late high rates easily maintained.

Cheviots (2,129) a tremendous trade for all sizes, numbers totally inadequate for the demand. Blackface (2,335) a larger entry with some outstanding lambs forward, trade excellent. Top £77 from Horseholme, others to £75 Collin Bank, £69 Hoscote Estate.
