C&D Auction Marts Ltd had forward 3,947 store hoggs, feeding ewes and cast rams at Longtown on Tuesday 7th March 2023. With all the usual buyers to the fore, another large entry of hoggs met an excellent trade from start to finish with late high rates easily maintained.

C&D Auction Marts Ltd had forward a large show of 70 ewes with lambs at foot and 1,000 in lamb ewes at Longtown on Tuesday 7th March. A large crowd was present with many new customers in attendance stretching from Fife to South Wales & Cheshire. An outstanding run of Texel x/Beltex x hoggs from A. Moffat, Stonehouse let the sale selling a pair at £162 a single at £160 and pen fulls at £154, £152 and £148.
