Longtown Store & Breeding Sheep Sale Report

C & D Auction Marts held their weekly sale of Breeding sheep, Store hoggs and Feeding sheep at Longtown on Tuesday 13th May 2025.

Ewe and lambs (778) a slightly smaller show of ewes and lambs on offer today with a lot of leaner Mule ewes forward. Topping the sale was a fantastic Dutch Spotted 5 crop ewe with a tup lamb at foot realising £220 per life.  

A tremendous run of Blackfaced ewe hoggs from BD & MS Hope, Mouldyhills topped at £240. This run of seriously well-bred hoggs went on to average £219.
