Longtown Primestock Sale Report
C&D Auction Marts had forward an entry of 5,170 sheep comprising of 1,136 Spring Lambs, 1,458 hoggs and 2,576 cast ewes & rams at their weekly sale at Longtown Mart on Thursday 19th June 2025.
PRIME LAMBS
A larger show of lambs forward sold to an electric trade with all firms operating full steam ahead. More can be sold to advantage and numbers are keenly sought after to satisfy an ever growing customer demand here at Longtown.
Top price per head was £220 (423.1p per kilo) for Suffolk cross lambs from J.A. & L.A. Thompson, Woodhead.
