A large number of light lambs were forward, proving harder to cash and less well fleshed. Heavyweight lambs remained well sold along with the best quality. Export type lambs got dearer all day.

Also held today was the Annual Christmas Show and Sale, kindly sponsored by Murray Farmcare Animal Health where 48 pens of ten were presented to the judge, Mr Philip Burton of our local abattoir West Scottish Lamb, who made an excellent job eventually awarding the Championship to the 1st prize pen of Beltex lambs from regular long distance supporter Mr R Lines, Killocraw, Bellochantuy, Campbeltown which scaled at 41kg and realised £130 selling to the judge.
